Project Impact

WE HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH RENOVATIONS AND OTHER CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS IN THE LAST DECADE.

Project Impact 3 Virtual Tour

Over the past decade, we have added over 2 acres of real estate to our campus footprint and we have added over 60,000 square feet in new construction — all while remaining fiscally conservative. Our school doesn’t have any debt, our foundation assets are over $4.5MM, and we recently announced a system-weighted tuition increase of less than 1% for 2020-2021 — the lowest tuition increase on record! In the last decade we have nearly tripled our tuition assistance/financial aid, and our average tuition increase during that same ten year span is 3.2%, compared to 4.33% from the decade before.

Moreover, the compensation our employees receive is in the top 5-10% of Christian schools nationwide, based on various surveys we participate in each year. WE ARE BUILDING without putting the burden on our current families by setting high tuition increases, without putting the burden on future families by accumulating debt, and without putting the burden on our staff by freezing or lowering our compensation levels. Sadly, many Christian schools must do “all of the above.”

Do the research for yourself and compare our school to other private schools of similar size in Chicagoland. Timothy Christian Schools can rightfully claim that we offer more for less.

Our High School Is Overdue for a Renovation: Project IMPACT phase 3

Our high school was among 50 non-public schools in the entire country to receive the 2019 National Blue Ribbon Award. As our other buildings on campus are among the very best, it is now time for our high school facility to catch up to the success and level of excellence of our students and staff. Prior to the completion of the new science wing in 2012, the high school had not received any significant renovations since the cafeteria was built in 1989. Our enrollment continues to grow system-wide as we anticipate our sixth consecutive year of growth.

This is a major overhaul

Here you can see the key spaces most impacted by the project: a clearly defined safe and secure main entrance with enhanced security, another student flow connection between the wings, a centralized location for our offices, collaborative learning and flex spaces, open area gathering spaces to promote community, new lockers, new flooring and ceilings, classroom innovation, air conditioning, a coffee and smoothie bar, and so much more! IT’S ALL COMING SOON!

CONSTRUCTION WILL START THE SUMMER OF 2020 AND WILL BE FINISHED BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS IN AUGUST 2021.

  • 2019: Upfront design and Timothy decision process.
  • 2020: Zoning / Elmhurst municipal, approvals, partial summer construction project, and completion of construction drawings.
  • 2021: Bidding / post bids, more construction, building completion.

Project IMPACT Phase 3 will provide a more clearly defined main entrance, stronger security, and will match the entrances of the other buildings on campus. The coffee and smoothie bar will be the centerpiece of the new student union center and immediately visible upon entering the building. We will also have ping pong and other games available in this space. As research continues to connect productivity with morale in the workplace, we believe the same is true in school. The student union center and the student commons will also function as exciting and fresh learning spaces where collaboration, innovation, and imagination thrive. We are a National Blue Ribbon high school with an extraordinary program of education. These flex spaces will strengthen our programs even further.
